Baseball is born in the heart of a child. There is something about catching and throwing a baseball, batting, tearin down the third baseline, sliding. The play. Never wanting the game to end. Hope. Baseball is discovery, and it is opportunity. It is dreams and it is heartbreak. It is struggle, and victory, and the pain of loss. It is about sacrifice and greed. From one boy’s talents comes a whole industry. One game could be a microcosm for an entire career. Fortunes and poverty stand on the shoulders of one individual, and how he performs, it could be one tryout, one injury, or one glimpse by a scout. A dream comes true. Success could be a flickering spark. To be cut feels like you are falling. Loved ones traveling with your emotions. A point of view is changed. Baseball remains rich like gold in your veins. My Baseball Journey

Sometimes a memory just stops you in your tracks, a song, a smell, a taste.The game of baseball is that taste of magic for many people. Just a glimpse of a memory of how one participated in this wonderful game. I remember going to bed and looking forward to the following day of playing baseball. I was over the moon with excitement.
